It's been 3 years since Doug and Tim insisted that Joey wanted to Drag race....It's been fun for them even tho' Grampa is a bit of a grumpy butt. After Dougie's first temper tantrum of the day, Joey was able to make two test runs. I think Joey felt like the whole thing wasn't worth it. Grampa is always mad about something, taking the fun out of the day. (After all, this is life and death and we'll starve if Joey doesn't win). Unfortunately, Tim had hay down and couldn't make it to the race. Things seem to run smoother if he's at the races. Machelle, who is always a great "crew," was there in his place.
Joey did his job, just got in the car, cut nearly perfect lights and made seven runs. (The most ever, in a day).
Imagine our surprise when at the end of the day, Joey was holding a FIRST PLACE WALLY!!! He deserved it, not to sure if Dougie did....
